Gallatin Special Program Requirements

All Majors

When answering the final short-answer question in the Personal Statements/Essay section of the application, applicants to the Gallatin School should refer specifically to why they are interested in the opportunities presented by developing an individualized program in the Gallatin School. While not required for admission, we welcome from Gallatin applicants a written statement discussing how Gallatin's unique educational approach will help you achieve your academic and professional goals.

Gallatin School applicants who plan to include applied or performing arts courses in their anticipated academic concentration are not required to audition or submit creative materials. Instead, please utilize the Personal Interests and Activities section of the application to relate the depth of your involvement in these areas. If you wish to further expand on how the study of your particular artistic interest will be related to your interdisciplinary studies at Gallatin, please do so in a separate written statement submitted with your application.

Please note that transfer students are eligible to receive a maximum of 64 credits of advanced standing upon their matriculation at The Gallatin School.
